This exhibition shows
creative responses to research in metabolic science. The Jurors, Dr. Giudo Verbeck in the
Department of Chemistry and Andrew DeCaen in the Department of Studio Art have
organized students around this theme in an effort to promote interdisciplinary cooperation, cross-pollination
of ideas and collaboration from different disciplines. Students were encouraged to create new ways
of understanding by responding to the difficult information surrounding
metabolic processes and disorders such as diabetes. Scholarships for a selection of the students
showing in the exhibition will be announced at the reception.
This project is funded and sponsored by generous support from:
the Office of the Vice President for Research, the Institute for Advancement of the Arts,
the College of Visual Arts and Design, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the Department of Chemistry.
