NOT YET:  The anticipation of a next step, the uncertainty of finding closure, the anxiety of expectations, the curiosity for the unknown. This exhibition brings together ten senior printmaking majors at the University of North Texas. Each artist explores distinct creative directions filtered through various methodical print processes that embody delayed gratification and anticipation for results.  These artists complete this milestone in their education while looking forward to next steps in creative lives.

Aracely M. Mendoza’s lithographs and screen prints explore themes on sexual and social norms within the latinx community.
Julianne Dao’s colorful monoprints explore Vietnamese-American identity through floral abstractions.
Dalia Guerrera’s works use screen printing to explore the nostalgia and melancholia of familiar objects.
Mimi Medrano’s prints seek to open up the hushed conversation on isolation and belonging.
Angelina Bissey’s lithographs and screen prints show an obsession with ritual and traditions in her Mexican-American upbringing.
grace otten’s screen printed figurative works explore gender, sexuality, mental health, relationships, and body image.
Hunter Wright’s lithographs, screen prints, and relief prints illustrate a world of unruly creatures that are surrogates for psychological complexities.
Faith Johnson’s mixed media etchings highlight our connections to the natural world using imagery of flora and fauna.
Hugo Ivan Juarez’s screen and relief prints transform photographic snapshots into Palimpsestic abstractions.
Lavender Rathman’s prints reflect on dissonance in suburban life by staging a surreal cast of masked characters in various delinquent dramas.
