2019 Día de los Muertos Altares Exhibit
October 25 – November 3, 2019

The Oak Cliff Cultural Center is now accepting submissions for the 2019 Dia de los Muertos Altares exhibit. Creative individuals, artists, non-profit organization and schools are invited to participate by creating their unique interpretation of a Dia de los Muertos Altar. Altars can consist of both traditional and non-traditional mediums, but must contain elements directly related to cultural tradition. The Dia de los Muertos Altres exhibit will be on display from October 25 – November 3, 2019.
Submissions are due by October 8, 2019, and selected participants will be notified on October 11, 2019. Submissions and questions can be emailed directly to Gerardo Robles at Gerardo.Robles@DallasCityHall.com.
Things to know:
– Altar entries must not exceed more than 4ft in width and depth from the wall
– Must include a brief description of what the altar will consist of.
– Mention if your altar requires access to power.
– A table can be provided by the cultural center, but quantities are limited.
