A serious illness in the winter of 1791–92 ultimately resulted in Francisco de Goya becoming deaf. This handicap greatly affected him and his art, sharpening his eyes and stimulating his imagination. Join us as Guillaume Kientz, curator in the department of paintings at the Musée du Louvre, shares the obstacles and challenges that helped shape the expressiveness of Goya's art.
