Congratulations to UNT Printmakers for your participation in the 2016 Frogman's Workshops at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. UNT tied with Indiana University-Southeast and Texas A&M Corpus Christi for this year's Participation Scholarship Awards! (UNT also earned Participation Scholarships in 2012 and 2009.) Each school will receive one free workshop (course) at Frogman's 2017 Print Workshops, so plan ahead for next summer!
UNT students had a strong presence at this year's workshops. Jessie Barnes (MFA 2017) won the Frogman's Graduate Student Scholarship and received a tuition waiver and had a solo exhibition at UNO's Hexagon Gallery. Iris Xiao Liu (BFA 2017) received a CVAD Student Project Award to take a course. Kayla Seedig (MFA 2017) received a Raupe Travel Grant to be a Workshop Assistant for the first week and to take a class in the second week. Melody Vaughan (MFA 2016) also served as a Workshop Assistant and took a course. In the coming semester, some of these and other participants will demonstrate the work that they completed in a Remote Research class offered through UNT Printmaking. Congratulations to all!
