Job announcement: UNT Printmaking Tech

The Studio Art Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Printmaking Technician.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Managing and maintaining equipment, purchasing supplies, setting safety standards, supervising hourly workers and Area Assistants, keeping records, and conducting general office duties in the Printmaking program studios. Responsibilities are oriented towards ensuring that students are able to perform the work required of them in their classes and program progress. The Printmaking Technician will also perform similar or related tasks at P.R.I.N.T Press including lab maintenance and safety and off campus errands.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Demonstrate experience and/or capability managing a printmaking studio.
  • Demonstrate experience and/or capability maintaining and/or repairing a Variety of printmaking presses and equipment.
  • Demonstrate strong familiarity with safety issues related to printmaking chemistry and processes.
  • Demonstrate commitment to safe and efficient studio practices.
  • Demonstrate experience and/or capability managing an inventory and budget successfully.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrate experience and/or capability of carrying out physical demands of the position.
  • Preferred active professional exhibition record and practice in studio art.
