P.R.I.N.T Open House Thursday 4/2, 4 - 6pm

Please join us Thursday, April 2 from 4 - 6 pm at P.R.I.N.T to welcome Sedrick Huckaby and Brian Garner, who are collaborating on a limited edition of fine art prints. There will be live printing and food. The event is free and open to the public.

P.R.I.N.T is located in Oak Street Annex at 1120 West Oak Street in Denton, Texas (click for map). 

Sedrick Huckaby is a painter who draws inspiration from his African-American roots, assigning new significance to his family history by recontextualizing artifacts and heirlooms. He received an MFA from Yale and a BFA from Boston University and is currently Assistant Professor at the University of Texas at Arlington.

Brian Garner is the founder and Master Printer of Litho Shop, a fully equipped printmaking studio. Currently based at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Brian earned a Professional Printers certificate from the Tamarind Institute, a BFA from the Maryland Institute College of Art, and an MFA from the University of Maryland, Baltimore.

The collaboration and Open House event is co-sponsored by Art Education / Art History, Core Drawing, Interdisciplinary Art and Design Studies (IADS), Printmaking, Gallery Visiting Artist and Scholar (GVAS), and P.R.I.N.T.
