All BFA students participating in Printmaking Mid Point Reviews will be turning in two artworks matted according to professional standards along with their portfolio. These demonstrations will demonstrate standards
for matting materials, methods, and craftsmanship. Please sign up on the Critique room door if you plan to attend.
What to Bring:
4
ply Mat Board
or Rag Board, white or off-white, NO colors, NO black, NO grays. Minimal
texture. 1/16” thick or thicker. Your window matt must be at least 6.25” wider
on each side than the image and 6.75 taller than the image. The quality is your choice (“archival,” or
“acid-free”). Keep this clean and
undamaged. Come to the demo with this
mat board. Mat boards thinner than 4 ply will not be acceptable. Keep this clean and undamaged.
Foam
Core Board
or Mat Board for the backing board, white or off-white, No colors.
Your
backing board must be at least 6.25” wider on each side than the image and 6.75
taller than the image. The quality is
your choice. Mat boards thinner than 4 ply will not be acceptable. Keep this clean and undamaged.
