Reception: Thursday 5-7pm
This exhibition features a collaborative exchange between ten MFA candidates from the University of North Texas and five MFA candidates from the University of Dallas. A portfolio of prints inspired by a tour of the printing facilities of the U.S. Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Located in Fort Worth Texas, this is one of only two places in the United States where paper currency is printed. The aim of our project was for each artist to make a print that takes the currency theme as a point of departure while developing each individual's current body of works. In addition to the portfolio of prints, this exhibition also includes other artworks by the participating MFA candidates in the exhibition.
MFA candidates from the University of North Texas: Justin Archer, Luke Ball, Jessie Barnes, Preston Bradley, Yun Jung Lee, Kayla Seedig, Erin Turner, Melody Vaughan, David Villegas, and Jon Vogt. MFA candidates from the University of Dallas: Michael Farmer, Jessie Martinez, Thomas Menikos, Josh Monroe, and Andrea Rogers. The project was organized by professor Steven Foutch and professor Andrew DeCaen
