Thank you to May Tveit for serving as a Visiting Artist at UNT CVAD!
During her time at CVAD, May Tveit delivered two artist's lectures to the college, showed actual examples of her work in open portfolio sessions, demonstrated monoprint and intaglio techniques, and printed in the studio while interacting with students. During her printing time, she developed a series of monoprints and resolved an image carved with a a CNC router. She also completed studio visits with eight graduate students. May Tveit holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Rhode Island School of Design, studied in Rome with the RISD European Honors Program, and received her Masters Degree from the Domus Academy in Milan, Italy. She has taught at the Rhode Island School of Design, Kansas City Art Institute and currently teaches at the University of Kansas. Her studio is located in Kansas City, Missouri.
