The University of North Texas Printmaking Area is pleased to announce High-Key , an exhibition of prints by five printmaking BFA seniors. High Key will be on view from Tuesday, November 14th through Monday, November 20th.  High-Key explores the themes of rich contrast imagery with strong graphic qualities. These five artists' work use a variety of subjects and concepts. Samuel Cowan's screen prints, etchings and artist's books explore complex notions of home. Rene Cordova's screen prints, monotypes and relief prints depict comic Mexican American narratives. Maya Joubert's etchings use hand sewn elements to examine expressions of identity through fashion. Jonathon Quinnelly's screen print installations engages the dynamics of violence in play. Jacob Vasquez's screen print compositions create collections of appropriated images in various modes of translation.
