Gus Kopriva will provide a talk about his collection - how it began, why he collected Expressionist prints, and a short history of his collecting practice. With him will be his wife Sharon Kopriva (whose work is currently on view at the Kirk Hopper Gallery), Sherry Owens, and German artist, Hans Molzberger.
Because Mr. Kopriva is an active collector and a gallerist, meeting him and hearing him speak is a great opportunity for emerging artists and art historians who have questions about approaching and interacting with collectors. In addition, Kopriva is coordinating a long-term loan of German Expressionist prints from his collection to the Kunsthaus Salzwedel, a new museum in northeastern Germany.
