Describing a universe in balance, the phrase “as above, so below” is an attempt to describe the unseen relationships between things that appear, on the surface, to be separate and distinct. These artists hail from different places, have assorted ideas and aesthetics, but share an underlying and inherent commonality of presence in their work. The exhibition challenges the viewer to find connections between the works on all levels: media, imagery and content.

The city-owned MCL Grand is the premier public arts facility in Southern Denton County. The 40,000-square-foot facility features a 296-seat proscenium theater, black box theater, dance recital hall, art gallery, five art classrooms and a large courtyard.
