Works from Advanced Printmaking Studio at Cora Stafford


The University of North Texas Printmaking area is pleased to announce Creatures of Habit: Works from Advanced Printmaking Studio, an exhibition at the Cora Stafford Gallery. The show is the culmination of the BFA Senior printmakers’ careers to-date and will also include selections from MFA students in an exchange entitled Nocturne.

When: March 24 through 27, 2015 with a reception on Thursday, March 26 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. 

Where: University of North Texas College of Visual Arts and Design, Cora Stafford Gallery, Oak Street Hall, 1120 W. Oak St., Denton, TX 76201 (click here for map)

Gallery Hours: Tuesday through Friday, 10:00 a. m. to 2:00 p.m.


Cost: Free and open to the public
Creatures of Habit will display the most recent works of senior undergraduate printmaking students. The work from these ten individuals varies in form, aesthetic, and content, allowing viewers to see up close the versatile nature and beautiful qualities printmaking offers. Techniques featured in the show include intaglio, relief, letterpress, lithography, screenprint, monoprint, mixed media, and works on paper; examples of bookmaking and installation will also be displayed.  Undergraduate participants include Annavittoria Conner, D! Dodd, Eileen Fritz, J. Leigh Garcia, Natalya Hutchinson, Willie Johnson, Nick Luevano, Ryan Mellott, Eric Opsahl, Lisa Ray, Colton Robertson, and Kelcey Williams. Graduate students whose work appears in Nocturne include Melody Vaughan, David Villegas, Jessie Barnes, and Kayla Seedig.
