Alum, Gary Uribe is Among Finalist for Hunting Art Prize

Gary Uribe (BFA 2012) was selected among 110 finalists for the final round of judging for the 2015 Hunting Art Prize.  Congratulations Gary!

This annual competition selects one Texas artist to win the $50,000 award. The competition, which is celebrating its 35th anniversary, is the largest prize in the category of painting and drawing available in North America.  The panel of jurors that narrowed the submissions to the final 110 participants will reconvene in April for the second phase of the two-tiered jury process. The 2015 winner will be announced at the Hunting Art Prize gala on May 2.

This year's  jurors for the Hunting art prize are:  Adam Justice, Curator of Art at the Polk Museum of Art in Lakeland, Florida; Amy Moorefield, Deputy Director of Exhibitions at the Taubman Museum of Art in Roanoke, Virginia; Julien Robson, Curator of the Shands Collection in Louisville, Kentucky
